Este artículo examina las condiciones internas y externas que influyeron en los cambios en el papel del FMI durante el primer rescate griego en 2010. Para ello, se analiza al organismo a través del enfoque de Economía Política Internacional (EPI), como un actor social con su propia entidad. A esto le sigue una breve revisión de los cambios del FMI a lo largo de la historia, destacando sus variaciones más notables para comprender las transformaciones ocurridas antes de la intervención del FMI en la Zona Euro.
This article examines the internal and external conditions that influenced the changes in the role of the Fund during the first Greek rescue in 2010. To do this, the IMF is analyzed through International Political Economy (IPE) approach, understanding it as a social actor with its own entity. This is followed by a brief review of the IMF's changes throughout history, standing out its most remarkable variations to understand the transformations that occurred before the IMF's intervention in the Euro Zone.
